FASH 710 - Fashion Materials and Structures
This course develops students investigative approaches to fashion materials, creative processes, and the
working relationship between fashion design and related technology. This course provides an opportunity for
students to explore and experiment with three-dimensional development and realization techniques to inform
their individual design identity. Prerequisite(s): Fashion major.
Inspired by the movie Red Shoes, the tragic ending of the female protagonist triggered me to think about the male perspective, women in the male gaze perspective, and female artists.
Women or female artists often have to work harder and harder than men to achieve something. Therefore, my interdisciplinary collaborative project wants to show how hard it is for women to achieve success.
